One Tablet per Child

Launched in 2016, the One Tablet Per Child project is entering a new important phase. The initial shine, the fun engagement with the new tool is wearing off, like that new car scent a couple of months down the line. We are now entering a new critical phase which will determine whether such a tool in the classroom is here to stay. A phase which determine whether the benefits which savvy teachers are reaping for their learners may be widely diffused for each child in our tiny nation.

It’s been one year since I’ve been actively involved in this project. Today I have been proudly going through the National Audit Office report published earlier this week. The report highlights the efforts that our digital literacy staff and most importantly various educators are putting in.

Change cannot be taken for granted but needs to be carefully supported.
